The two volumes of Improving Ensemble Intonation use homophonic textures of chorales, hymn tunes, and carols to help students learn and hear how their part fits into the chord structure. Each tune has two harmonizations, the original and an altered one. Then students are asked to play them in several keys. This will help with understanding how finger patterns play a role with intonation. Both volumes of Improving Ensemble Intonation are also available for full orchestra with woodwinds and brass.
