This work is made up of three contrasting movements. The first movement states the thematic material in unison and then is presented in a 2 then 3 and finally 4 part round. The second movement is a slow lyrical setting that repeats the round in reverse order. The last movement states the theme in unison once more but then divides it up immediately to create the polyphonic textures of the round and incorporates a modern harmonic vocabulary that your students should find captivating.
