You will find routine scale warm ups in each of the major and minor scales that most students will encounter during their first year of study. There are duets that may be played as true duets, giving your students their first opportunity playing chamber music, or in sections or the entire class may play as an ensemble. There are also some ensemble arrangements on early tunes that every method book uses. I have found the use of rounds to be an excellent way to help students develop playing independence so I have included some of my compositions for beginning string orchestras that use rounds. I have also compiled some fiddle tunes and an etude along with a Mozart round that will give your students a great sense of satisfaction when they learn to perform these pieces as well.
